Lay Witnesses for Christ International is known as Chaplains to World Champions.
Over the past 35 years, we have had the opportunity to minister to, and alongside, Olympic champions, world-class athletes, dynamic pastors, exciting ministry leaders, renowned coaches and so many more people who use their talents to see God glorified.
We reach out globally using the world of sports in order to positively impact others, especially youth, with the life-saving message of Christ.Lay Witnesses for Christ International was founded by Dr. Sam Mings and his wife Sharon.
Our focus has always remained the same: To impact our world for Jesus Christ!
From the time Dr. Mings stepped out and made himself available as a witness for Jesus Christ, God has blessed and multiplied his ministry.
God has brought many willing, serving hearts to Sam and Sharon that have been used to grow Lay Witnesses for Christ International into a global, sports-focused ministry that uses the platform of world-class athletes to reach young people with the life-changing power of Christ.
Dr. Mings has had the blessing to be there when Olympians have recognized their need to be saved by Christ, and then has watched them grow to be great witnesses themselves.From the Christian Athlete of the Year Awards, to the Right Track Drug, Alcohol & Violence Prevention Program, to our Host City Outreaches, to many other sports-oriented, life-changing events, Sam and Sharon have seen thousands of souls impacted for the glory of God.
